Practice routines

    For the "daily routine" - NO BOOKS! The trumpet daily routine has to be just like the 3 Ss after getting up in the morning: Shi*, Shower and Shave!

    Long tones - not too high, not too loud but LONG
    Lipslurs - liquid, unstrained, in perfect time
    Scales
    Easy tunes like in Hymnbook range

    The daily routine is designed to keep the chops, ears and brains MAINTAINED. It is not there to improve range or technique!

    The OP asked for suggestions about a "daily practice routine". I interpreted it as what do people practice each day. Rowuk took a different interpretation, which he called a "daily maintenance routine", which is fine, and which I fold into the first part of my daily routine (see my post above). I don't disagree with Rowuk's reply. But I think we're talking about two different things.
