    Too, you can get a socket wrench, but it will have to be 4 point, not a 6 point socket. I'm not sure, but I think I've now a set of 4 point deep sockets. Just remember an 88 key piano will require 264 strings be adjusted to be fully tuned. While maybe I could do it, I rather let a pro do it. I believe Steinway pianos are still made in Philadelphia PA USA, or one of their close environs. At least that is where John Steinway made his.

    Your G-ride was a Porsche engine-equipped Beetle?? I was lucky to get a beat-up AMC Matador. (Am I dating myself or what?? :oops:)

    I take a short-cut and only de-tune 132 strings. That leaves me a reference for re-tuning in case I get a last-minute gig at Carnegie. :thumbsup:

    You never know when you're going to have to toss the Steinway into its case and head to the airport. That's just good planning, Steve.:D
