Proper ways of creating vibrato

    I prefer using the hand vibrato over the others. By using the hand vibrato I'm not changing anything in the way I set my embouchure, (aperture,lip tensionl,jaw setting etc.) like in lip,jaw or air types.I find I have more control with the hand type.If you aren't mashing your lips with the mouthpiece,you can use a hand vibrato on any high note if you own it.

    The consummate trumpeter needs it all! Work on all methods, then you have a larger number of tools in the box and can offer the most appropriate form at a gig.

    You know those old exercise machines with the belt that goes around your waist that is supposed to jiggle all the fat off?...
