I clean my trumpet once a month approx. However, it is always a quick clean and nwo I think it is starting to accumilate dirt... This is mainly because I dotn knwo how to give it a good scrub down.

    What is suggested?

    Is there a guide online?

A cleaning brush (snake) is a must have for cleaning an instrument. Soap & water are the traditional cleaners. After the mechanical cleaning the Vulgano CHEAPO CHEMICAL CLEAN is to soak the instrument innards in Vitamin C powder (just a tiny bit) and water overnight, then flush the instrument with baking soda (just a tiny bit) and water to kill the acid, then rinse with clear water. This should get most gunk out of a horn, and it is kind of fun to play mad scientist!

    Good luck!
