Good Evening. I learned today that the trumpet I received for 8th grade (back in 1982) and still have occasionally played, is a Holton Collegiate Trumpet, ser # 3353. It corresponds to a 1907 year of production. I'm wondering if anyone knows more about these horns. Their quality etc, value, or interesting tidbits. I'm just facinated to learn its so old, and according to the music store gent, a good quality instrument. Hope to hear from you. I read another post somewhere about a guy with a Holton Collegiate with a ser# in the 5000's. But an expert told him that Collegiate models weren't made until the 1930's. Does anyone know the truth of the matter?
