Aaron Woolley playing the Arutunian Trumpet Concerto - YouTube
Nobody likes a cocky player. Remember that Aaron.
I was just responding to a comment that was supposed to be a diss...
Aimed at high school players in general, you can't even say that that isn't generally true.
hahaha it is generally true... I will give you that
But everyone loves a good one
So you create a post saying that you're just not sure how good a high school player is suppose to be. And then when you think you're being "diss'd", you post a video that says "look how good I am".
I have to agree with D.C.
The Philadelphia All Senior High School Orchestra played the Ravel Piano Concerto and the Brahms First Symphony in concert. In those days we weren't obsessed with range. I played first trumpet.
Not a diss.....
Thank you Mike, I 100% agree on this.
You had a good concert. The Arutunian was great. Don't get too full of yourself. Vulgano Brother is very wise and I suggest you heed his words. He was implying that you play better than the average HS player, and I think most of us agree.
Keep practicing, be confident in yourself and don't be too concerned with what others think. And don't come here looking for approval or to consolidate how you see yourself. Whatever you were doing before you found this forum worked! This place has the potential to be a huge waste of time and energy. (Just ask me...)
