I recently bought the H.L. Clarke Technical Studies book and so far I'm really happy with it. Now I'm looking for a book that includes flexibility related exercises. What would you recommend for an amateur trumpet player?

I'm pretty sure that Arban's Complete Conservatory Guide has everything, including flexibility guides.

I use the Bai lin, Colin, and Iron's books for flexibility studies.

+1 on these. I love the Bai Lin book. It's a great flexibility addition to any practice routine. I also use Schlossberg every day.

    Hi wiseone2
I totally agree about practicing patience. Unfortunately, I think I first need to have patience in order to improve on it. I definately need to work on that.

Earl Irons is pretty good for the non-Clarke technique.

The best thing I can reccomend is a good teacher. There are tons of flexability studies out there. I've even written my own out for students. Don't confuse flexability studies with lip slur studies. they are different.

I agree with what everyone has said here. Another book I would recommend would be the Allen Vizzutti Trumpet Method Book 1. It has a whole section on lip flexibility and they really work.
