    Hello

    I noticed that my skin gets red from playing the trumpet.
    It's just above/under my lips, it doesn't hurt at all, but it looks weird.

    What can be the cause of this, am I pushing to hard (I don't have the feeling that I do...), or is this a sort of allergic reaction?
    Or is this normal?

    Regards
    Florian

    When you stop playing, how long does your skin remain red ?
    What kind of mouthpiece finish do you use : silver, gold, … ?

    It's gone in +- 1 hour.
    I'm playing a silver mpc (Bach).

    I will leave people more qualified than me make a diagnosis if they can, but here are two comments:
    1. It looks like "too much pressure".
    2. Some people say they are allergic to silver…

    Red may mean gold. Is anything you are playing on gold plated?

    How red is it getting?

    I might be wrong here, but I think it's normal to have some slight redness after playing for a while.

    @Gmonady
    Nowp, I only have one mpc, and it's silver plated ;-)

    @LiquidSean
    It's less red then my lips, I was just wondering if this was normal, so probably it is :-).
