    Hahaha!
    Wish that you would!
And while at it...why not make a mold that they can blow into to get the volume and shape exactly right...a two-part mold if you want to include the bell bow.
I guess the mold would need to be metal to handle the heat.
Chop chop! It WOULD look so cool. Dark-sounding though, I hear.

    Hey...idea just popped!

Since glass makes a dark sounding horn, what about a flugelhorn with a glass bell, but a smaller bell throat to compensate for the already dark sound?

On a standard professional rotary trumpet, the standard spit key doubles as a Vienna Key for high C. Depressing the key vents the horn and high C just pops out.

The molds are clay or ceramic.

Ahh!! I did not know that!
A vestige of a keyed bugle, perhaps? Thank you!

    That would be easier....
The thing about the clay I use shrinks about ten percent ad it air dries, and more when in the kiln...a very good amount of thought would need to be devoted in anticipation of that...plus, if molding beyond the rear brace location it would have to be a split mold to extricate the bell tube.

Performs the same function as the pinky hook on a piston trumpetROFL

When I vent, the upper octave is also easier.

When my wife vents, I leave.

I'd say two piece, screw into a joint soldered to a metal crook.

My AMI Pasión rotary flügel has an extended water key, used as a Wiener klappe it does help. Pop out? Still takes some chops, lol. ;-)

I always thought it was spit coming out the spit valve, not high C's. If I empty the main slide and third slide at the same time does a Double C pop out?
