    Just read where Glenn Frey died too from The Eagles. If you haven't watched their documentary on Netlix you are missing out man. A sad and awful day...

    Yes, 2016 is proving to be a rough year for musician passings. The drummer from Mott the Hoople also passed over the weekend.

    This stuff has to stop. While we've still got a lot of very fine players in the Bay Area, the supply isn't infinite. He will be missed.

    Or, people die - it's a fact of life. There is a 100% mortality rate, and as they say, "no one gets out of this world alive." Enjoy them while we can and miss them when they're gone, but don't get too wrapped up in the passing of a human being, for it is inevitable.

    (Edit: to be fair, when I learned that Maynard had passed, it was like I'd been punched in the gut - it was a physical reaction, and although I didn't fall down wailing, I finally understood how someone could be distraught at the passing of someone they never personally knew.)
