Here is a page on my site that now has a pdf of all the original text from my 1894 edition.

The current edition has some of the original text restored, except for a typo that is in a most significant section covering mouthpiece placement. St. Jacome was dogmatic that the mouthpiece should be 2/3 on the top lip.

    Jeff,

That's all well and good but in those days most people also believed that support during exhalation was controlled by the diaphragm and were just as dogmatic about that.

At any rate, it was nice of you to put that bit of history on your website. Not enough people know the St. Jacome book and that kind of exposure to his music is a good thing.
