SALT & ALUMINUM foil for Silver

    If you use salt, I recommend it not be table salt as is iodized (added iodine).

    I can't remember the measurements, but I've cleaned silver horns with a mix of baking soda, salt, and foil in hot water. Only catch was it turned some of the slides a black corroded color.

    Another thing that will work magic is Wright's Silver Cream. Just gotta use some elbow grease.

    Rock salt, unless of course you're a beboper, then you use Jazz salt.

    I bet you didn't do so well in chemistry lab... did you Evergrey_rocks? I mean the bad luck you are having is pre-ordained from your name - EverGREY. Bummer.

    I have been doing this method for years and have never had any shade of black. So call me NeverGREY
