Satin or Bright Gold Plating/Anderson Plating

    Patrick, and others considering satin/brush/scratch gold plating....

    I would leave the inside of the bell in bright gold plate.
    On the pics of the satin gold Schilke, the inside is satin also.
    That is definitely going to look bad after a few mutes and things hit it a few times.

    Yes, the surface roughness is determined before any plating or lacquering.

    Even if you put a new scratch in the top plating the brass surface underneath will retain its level of 'roughness' unless you totally scratch the plating away revealing brass, which is quite unlikely.
