Sax Appeal!

    Weird, indeed--especially since it appears the sound would be coming directly at the player's face, or somewhere in close proximity to it....

    That explains why sax players faces are so wrinkled and squinty when they are playing. I prefer the trumpet projecting straight out which leaves us trumpet players with smiley faces:-)

    Not so fast, Herr Doktor, The sax players squint because it is hard as hell to play a saxophone. Have you ever tried to play one? I admire the guys. I could never get use to the taste of reeds and biting down and blowing at the same time.

    They smoke cigars and drink single malt scotch... you think they really taste those reeds? Then have enough of a task, just to find their axe. And yeah, you can tell Jack this as well... 'cause after a few single malts, he doesn't know Jack!
