Trying to fIgure the trumpet parts played by Ray Nelson on
    the song Malaguena (Esteban CD)

    Seems the notes used are : G G# Bb C D Eb F G

Anyone know which scale / mode this would be ?

    Thanks

seems to me that the G# would actually be an Ab making the scale of orgin Eb...Eb F G Ab Bb C D Eb.......G Ab Bb C D Eb F G would be the phrygian mode...some one correct me if I need to go back to theory!

    Thanks

Sorry about the sharp / flat thing .... as you can tell, I have no formal music training.

No worries...I am only a college student that is more into classical than jazz, I just attempted to recall what I learned in theory...so I could be wrong, but seeing how noone has corrected me yet I do believe I actually got one right....doesnt happen too often!
