Well, our obsessions are higher, louder, faster. Only thing left for geetar is faster.
13A4A and lots 'O pressure........No problem!
Louder??? You haven't heard my new amp!
The guitar goes higher ..... a slide can take you past the last fret .... but nobody ever got any kudos for playing high notes on the guitar.
Or switch to five-string banjo where playing well up the neck is an art. Them high notes sounds purty.
... which would be to get an Ibanez Universe and string it with the high "A".
As for the OP's wording, I have to say I am a rather peaceful guy. I don't want to "hit" notes, I'd rather play with them.
Except that no matter how fast you go there will always be some guy wo's faster (it gets really annoying when they are bass players).

Spend years trying different approaches suggested by people on trumpet forums, journals, fellow "students".
Or, get private lessons and learn much more correctly and expediently.
We need a capo for trumpet--what a cheap way to play higher!
I guess the NEXT thing your gonna say is I gotta PRACTICE!!
