Over the past 7-8 months, after an injury, I've really started to develop some fairly significant pain on the top of my left forearm and elbow which is mostly a problem when playing, simply holding up the horn. Doctor says "tennis elbow." Pressure pads/supports only exacerbate the problem. Evidently, the Shulman system is currently off the market during patent applications. Does anyone have one from which they wish to be relieved? Or a similar device?

You can go to any store specializing in photography and get a monopod with a swivel head to accomplish similar results. Cullmann has a quick release bracket that could be modified for the trumpet with little effort.

It is important to let your arm heal. Your idea of an additional support is VERY good.
