So what album do you think should be in every trumpet players library?

I agree with the Winton Marsalis album "Baroque Music For Trumpet." I have the same, but I also like Herb Alpert's "Rise." I grew up listening to that on 8track because my mom, who's also a trumpeter, played it all the time. I also have it on Vinyl now as of the other day. . . .Goodwill stores are great places to find vintage vinyl of trumpet players that have had a major impact on commercial and classical music in America.

This IS one of my favorite covers. I have also noticed that other trumpet players have used some really beautiful models, Rick Braun comes to mind. I am honored to be associated with trumpet instrumentalists that obviously have good taste, and in the case of the Herb Alpert cover, that obviously tastes good.

The best of Freddie Hubbard: First Light; Red Clay; and others, but the one that makes me melt is Here's That Rainy Day. It’s basically a duet between Freddie and George Benson. This is both players at their best!
