LOTS of footage from the 2014 Eisteddfod. Nice to watch, competition starts around 19 minutes in:

Commentary in Welsh, pretty language I think. Talking about youth bands and how important it is to start people young. Fun to watch -- multiple levels, though. Enjoy. :-)

Very nice ! Thanks for putting it here :D

The only thing strange that i noticed was no trumpets? I saw a few flugels but no trumpets .anyway nice music .

These are non-professional players i take it ?

No, no trumpets -- a ton of everything else, though. Quite a few bands, and the instrument balance seems to change for each one.

Yep -- community bands. It's fun to watch that sort of thing.

ETA: The competitions start with the 4th level bands. After that level's done, the levels go up, as does the level of play.

Here's the level 2 bands if you like:

    Eisteddfod Genedlaethol 2014 | S4C Clic

Starts about 58 minutes in. Second piece by the first band has a young kid cranking on a trombone like a machine. Good stuff.
