    - The Haydn
    - The Hummel
    - Carnival of Venice (Arban's)
    - Quiet City by Copland
    - Characteristic Study No. 12 - Arban
    - The Arutunian Trumpet Concerto

Along with a few of Mendez's arrangements, baroque pieces (which are hard to do without a piccolo trumpet or trumpet in D) and other etudes. Really I am not working towards anything in particular at the moment, but some those mentioned above are what I'm going to need to pass my final AMEB exam before letters (i.e., A-MUS, L-MUS, etc). My exam is late next year. So I'm preparing early! :)

The doggy songs are a daily practice routine, Freddy is working on the Artunian for fun, and for community band: Polka an Fugue from Schwanda the Bagpiper, Verdi's Mandoni Requiem excerpts and other stuff that is not nearly as hard.

Yep! I'm starting very slowly (the fourth variation is half speed at the moment) and hopefully I'll have it up to speed by next year, and do it for a solo contest or performance or something.

Blue Yodel #9-Originally performed by Louis Armstrong and Jimmy Rodgers. A guitar player friend of mine found a youtube clip of Louis and Johnny Cash recreating this tune and thought it would be fun for us to do. All improv for me, he's got the tough part...

As yet unspecified tunes for dance band....I've been informed that I'll be doubling lead this month.....

Anything else I pull up and that strikes my fancy-Arutunian, Haydn, Hummel, Corelli...

Cornyandy-A flageolet a day keeps the neighbors away!

    "Souled Out"
"So Very Hard To Go" (famous Ex-Lax commercial)
"God Bless The Child" (heavy w/ tricky articulation),
    "Down to The Nightclub"
"What Is Hip" ('wheres my lip?'),
"Knock On Wood" (that I'll have chops to finish this gig)
    "Soul man"
"Hold On I'm Coming" (took you long enough said his wife)
    "Valdez In The Country"
    "Smoke from A Distant Fire"
    "Cold Sweat'

And a hundred other tunes from 40 years ago both dance and listening.
