I'm auditioning for the Stephen F. Austin State University music school sometime either next month or in February. I recently made the TMEA All-Region band and I am also advancing to the TMEA Area competition at the 4A level. I've also taken a lesson with the trumpet professor of SFA in November, and he seemed fairly impressed. Does anyone here have any experience with auditioning at SFA? Can anyone tell me a "ballpark estimate" of what my chances of being accepted are? The professor said that they will be taking somewhere between 6-8 new trumpets this coming year.

    Thanks, and merry playing,

    Caleb
