As I contemplate my c trumpet I get a few years down the road I wonder how a sterling bell on a c trumpet would sound. Say a 239 with a 7r and sterling bell? I do love my silversonic but it is a Bb horn. I have yet to play any c trumpet and will try some before I buy.

No idea how it would sound, but FYI, the Bach silver bell isn't Sterling - it's called Sterling Plus and is a purer form of silver than Sterling. It also adds about $1000 to the cost of a horn...

Yep I knew that LOL. Just a habit to call it sterling.

I have one of the first Sterling bells before they were called Sterling Plus. Mine just says 43 Sterling. It's a nice horn, the bell is quite fragile. I'll bet a Sterling C trumpet would have great projection. I'd get the 229 bell, though. I have one in Gold Brass that I like.
