Hey guys, I have a trumpet I will be putting away for a while and was wondering if i should put it away in chunks ( taking the slides out and put them seperatly so they dont get stuck) or if i should just grease them up and leave them in. Thanks

Why would one want to store a trumpet?

When my horn is in the case for more than a day, it feels like I have had an arm amputated, or that my wife has left me.

Till death us do part............. ;-)

I wrap every piece separated, so there's no so much humidity, to prevent from oxidation.

I'll be doing this soon as I have my original '68 Bach Mercedes that I'll be replacing and I'm going to retired the Mercedes. Might get it out once or twice a year at best.

To tell the truth the day after I stored my horn, I took it back out again, couldn't stand seeing it sitting their not making noise!

Hey man, don't scare me like that!
Are you talking about the amputated, wife leaving you or death part. Sound like a call for 911!
