Yes, with all my health issues and advanced age, my daily target is 2 hours of actual lip time practicing old songs, new songs, etudes from Arban's or rehearsing for an upcoming solo in church or other. I stated "lip time" as now means I put the instrument to my lips and play 30 minutes and rest 15 minutes, thus to accumulate my 2hours of "lip time" means the total lapsed duration of time is 2 hours and 45 minutes. The exception is that I do not play on Sundays unless it is the actual solo(s) in church, that I don't count. Too, I do not count Wednesday evening instrumental music gatherings. All this said, I cannot say I achieve this every day, but I persevere and try to, and most often achieve such "lip time" and sometimes more. Like everyone, I've good days and bad days. Too, I play multiple brass: Bb piccolo trumpet, cornet, trumpet, flugelhorn, euphonium and F mellophone, and if a good day a borrowed CC tuba.
