    Hi everyone,

I was talking to a horn player friend of mine about possibly studying abroad somewhere in my 3rd year at college (probably somewhere in the states if I did it) and he said he'd been warned against going abroad because it would be hard to re-establish yourself in the UK if you were to come back, and that essentially it would be a wasted year.

So what do you think about this? One of the reasons I'm thinking about this is that I am very interested in US trumpet playing and think I could really benefit from a year at Eastman / MSM etc etc.
