sudden toothache

    I have heard that some people have sore teeth and some have pain in lips. This is due to continuous practice and the pressure that you apply for playing the instrument. As you have said that you do a lot of practice and you never had such pain it would definitely be beneficial to checkout with a doctor. Read this for some more details.

    Being a trumpet playing dentist I Know how important teeth are to us! I suggest you see your dentist and explain what happened and the nature of the pain and they can then check to make sure that there is no underlying tooth or gum related problem.
