Swollen Lips

    I am in my mid 50s and have had to rethink things in the last 10 years due to swelling. I am now just using deeper mouthpieces. No stories of implosion, no loss of range, no problems with tone. Just basic darwinism.

    that being said
    I was having some swelling and realized that when I over practiced my embrochure would break down and I would be playing more on the inside of my lips... that's when my lips would swell and feel raw. It was a real "duh" moment for me because you would have thought I would have figured that out years ago when I was playing professionally.
    Are you sure you don't have a wild girl friend.... come on, you can tell us, you are among friends here :)
