Hi has anyone any experience with these trumpets.
I've played on one for a few years now. They are extremely well made instruments. Regrettably, I have to sell mine.
Is there anything specific you'd like to know about them?
Yes, I play one every day. Top quality design, intonation and build.
Taylor is one of the finest makers in the brass industry.
Usually not the best for orchestral settings due to blending but a friend has a Taylor C trumpet and it has some of the finest intonation of any C trumpet I've played.
Fantastic horns whats your question?
I am going to buy a pro trumpet next year or the year after (the very latest), but some say this trumpet is heavy, but plays beautifully and sounds awesome. There is a Chicago Lite version as well. There are about 4 different custom made trumpets made in Britain, so I am going to try them all, along with the mass made ones like Bach and so on. I am only going to be able to afford something like this once, so I have to get it right first time around.
The Taylor's come in all sorts of weights. I have played abotu 6 models of them, and they ranged from very light, to very heavy.
Would it help if i weighed my Chicago Lite.
Mine is pretty heavy, but after a while you get used to it, so it doesn't matter.
