    Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone out there can recommend a good trumpet teacher in SW CT (Fairfield Co.) or even Westchester Co., NY. This would be for a beginner - an adult with a background in music. I searched the forum but did not find anything. Thank you.

If you don't find anyone, if there is a local college in the area, contact them and see if they have a trumpet major student that would like to provide lessons. It would likely help out a college student and provide him/her with some private teaching experience.

That's a great idea. We have a couple of schools nearby. Thank you!

That's what I did in Shanghai, got a final year student to teach me Sax, and we both learnt.
He got an English lesson - it was a great time, and he was a great player and teacher.

    Great idea.

Contact Ivan Hunter, Trumpetsplus here on TM. He gives lessons in South Salem NY (near Lewisboro) in Westchester County NY. He also does SKYPE lessons.

Do you by chance teach any music theory and composition? I'm not an adult beginner at anything musical, but it never hurts to ask.
