Thank you, thank you, thank you.

It was so kind of you all to get together and wish me happy birthday last week. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.
(The present hasn't arrived yet, but I am sure it will be here soon.)

Ah! Happiest of happy birthdays to you, kind sir.

I sent you a nice birthday wish this morning. It should arrive in the form of an email from my uber-wealthy aunt who is trying to flee Pakistan, but needs to first transfer $4 million USD to a reputable stateside banking establishment. Just provide your routing and account numbers, and she'll make sure you are rewarded with a 20% share of her wealth once she gets back to America.

Hold your breath - she'll be on the next flight out, I promise.

How kind and thoughtful of you. I shall look forward to her email. It will probably be re-routed via Nigeria I guess?

Naw, my uncle's in Nigeria. But no worries, he'll be fleeing the country next year on your birthday.

I gather from this calumny that both of you are happy to have your personal contact details posted at every bus stop from Badagry to Calabar?
