Sorry, Manny. My parents bought mine in 1974 for me and I think it was $12.00.

Nah... couldn't have been $12. I bought mine in '69 and it was $6 then. It couldn't have doubled that quickly... could it? Were you on the east coast then, as well? I'm guessing it had to be about 8 or 9 bucks.

Anyways... do I hear three, anyone?

It might have been $12.00, Manny. Remember Ford's WIN (whip inflation now) buttons? Arban's might have been the real reason.

Mine was $7.50 (at least thats what the cover says). When I was in college, the book was in about ten sections and people used to come into the practice room and borrow a section. I unfortunately only have about a third of that book left since all the pieces were never returned. I'm guessing my old friend Chip has a couple of them at his house somewhere! I have since purchased two at much higher prices-one for home and one for my classroom. It is so much easier than carrying the darn thing back and forth.

Wow those are cheap. The one my mom got was $40 (platinum edition). The regular edition is $30 now I think.

    MJ,

That's the same copy that I have. I got it from my half brother who would have started playing in about 1963 or 1964. It was $5.00.

Very cool (your copy is in much better shape than mine).
