    hi there,
Awhile ago my bro told me that sometimes on high notes my mouth goes into a smiley, and he told me that the correct way to play is lock and blow(lock corners, and scream)
Is this correct? I have tried it several times, and I can do it pretty good, but is this the right way?
    thanks for the advicce

I'm sure there are many out there who are a better teacher than I but what your brother is saying is somewhat right. By not smiling when getting higher you are allowing your lips to vibrate more because the tissue is not so tense. Smiling can also lead to applying more pressure to your lips as well and we all know pressure is not the answer.

    That's my $0.02.
