Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways –Chardonnay in one hand and chocolate in the other– body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

His trumpet is probably on eBay the very minute he skids in sideways...?

The trumpet is in my hand making music - or in the case during the Chardonnay and chocolate warmdown!

Robin, what is wrong with you? Everyone knows RED wine goes with chocolate, not white wine!

Those old rules don't really apply anymore:

Everything Tastes Better With Chocolate?Especially Wine! - Drinking Made Easy

I really like white chocolate with just about anything alcoholic.

Today we are allowed to experiment. It's kind of like learning double tonguing before triple tonguing!

There are some RED Chardonnay wines, in France of course, in the Mâcon area, also in the USA :

Vous en avez rêvé? Alvin Pack, l’un des propriétaires du domaine County’s Green Creek, implanté en Caroline du Nord, l’a fait. Depuis quelques mois, il propose, au prix de 22 $ la bouteille un vin de cépage chardonnay rouge!

I can think of a few white wines that would go really well with chocolate. Who cares about rules when you're sliding sideways toward that last destination anyway?
