"The Intro" - Basie Band

    I'm not sure of the title or artist, but the song essentially has a man introducing the different players of a band. From lead trumpet to drums. A little help please to the title/artist please.

    It could be Stan Kenton's "This is an Orchestra" where he introduces everyone including a young Maynard.

    :-)Prologue (This is an orchestra) is on the Stan Kenton "New Concepts of Artistry in Rhythm" album recorded in 1952. Capital Jazz CD P 92865-2

    I have that recording on vinyl and forgot all about it. It also has For Dancers Only and other great Lunceford recordings on it.
