    Manny,

Have you ever thought about gathering up all your great advice on playing the trumpet and writing it down in a book? I find your style and manner of explaining things much easier to follow than most, particularly your emphasis on full, but relaxed breathing. How about it?

PS - I want an autographed copy, of course! ;-)

    Greg,

Hmmm... y'know, that's not a bad... aw, cmon, who am I kidding? It's so much work to get it right... I'd need so much time... but then again... Nahh, it's nuts... forget it. No, absolutely not, no way.

    But then again...

I would buy it, recommend it and require it of my students as well! Manny, I would help with Finale for examples! Great idea!

    Mr. Laureano!

You should write a book! You could probably gather a few entries from this site, throw it together with more stuff and sell it.

You'll make tons of money! And also helping other :?: hapless trumpet players out there (no offence to anyone) but that is a great idea!

    :-P :D  :bleah: :dontknow: ;-)

I wonder if Gzent meant simply a treatise on how to correctly play, or did he mean more what the title of his post suggests, a true method book, as in "Mendez Plays Laureano"?

This leads me to ask another question - Manny, have you composed any etudes along the way? If not, I am commissioning one here and now! We demand that you give us the next Charlier #2 for the 21st Century. Perhaps something a little more Bravura in style, but every bit as hauntingly beautiful.

Folks - I remember a cadenza that Manny composed in high school for the Haydn. If he had that in him then, who knows what he may be capable of now!

I think the 'Method to Manny's Madness' (cool title, eh?) should be whatever format he thinks is best. Put in whatever you think is important and skip what isn't.

Personally, I'm of the less is more thinking, so the thinner the better!

Go ahead, Manny, make our year! I dare you to start typing!

    I double-dog dare ya! !

Go on, I triple-dog dare ya!!

This is really tempting.... What am I saying?!! No, stop it... desist immediately!

    *hands over ears*
LA, LA, LA... I can't hear you!

Man, it would be cool though...
