Tired of Trumpet Player Lips?

    Maybe the discoloration is a reaction to the metal on the mouthpiece. Some people react to brass, copper, silver etc. try a mouthpiece with a non metal rim like ceramic or something like that. Many mouthpieces have a gold rim and or cup as another option?

    Maybe you have tried some of these already? Just throwing ideas out there.

    Toothpaste may "bleach" your lips but my experience shows that using health care products in ways not intended usually results in serious health issues. My advice is to forget that solution faster than you learned about it.
    A trumpet hickey is a sign of passion. Wear it with pride!

    Your lips could end up looking like teeth, and then - 'struth' - how hard would buzzing be then?? :dontknow: :roll: ROFL

    If the discoloration really bothers you, you could do some research and find a good dermatologist. There are bleaching creams they could prescribe for you. Many patients use these creams for sun/age spots. Good luck.
