    Actually, the horn I play on this clip is the one in the picture. A "Harry James" model Dual Bore King with one of Harry's personal Parduba mouthpieces that he gave me right out of his desk drawer.

    King produced a series of horns in the Super 20/Symphony family. The "dual Bore" was a horn designed to meet the desires of Harry James, whom King was trying to woo away from Selmer in 1953. The Symphony Super 20 in (DB) dual bore 0.458" / 0.468". The benefit of this was that the front of the horn going into the valves, responded like a medium-large bore horn. This made for rather effortless blowing. However the tubing coming out of the valve casing is a large bore, making the horn very open. So a player can scream if they want, while producing a fat sound.
