To what degree can flugelhorn improve you trumpet

    The flugel does not help or hurt your trumpet playing if your practice routine is balanced. MORE PLAYING helps your playing.

    Granted, every new experience helps round out the human and superhuman experience. I would not look for anything specific here though. Each instrument has its gravitational field to which certain types of music are attracted. As your ears and brain gets better, it is easier to pick the right horn for the job.

    what about that trumpet MPC? I am interested in this hybrid combos but it doesnt sound like cornet (I read somewhere that if you place trumpet MPC on flugel it will sound like cornet, as cornet is half way between trumpet and flugel) -is that rumor or supstance????
