Don't know why we "practice" anything! I believe such may be a misnomer and should be changed to "study" as is a continuum in life regardless of the endeavor. If at all, practice seems more the development of skills rather than the knowledge of how a task may be accomplished based on precedence by others.

Are there days I don't want to? Sure. But what I think about is,' If I DON'T practice today, what won't I be ready for tomorrow, or what if I get called for a gig spur of the moment?' That motivates me. Friday, I had to work my day job and then was meeting friends for dinner and a movie. I made sure to buzz on the mpc everywhere I drove, then, I was in the theater parking lot doing range studies in my van for 15 min before I went. You just do it. Otherwise, don't play the trumpet.

I wondered about that - my garage has a big metal door which acts like an amplifier or sounding board straight into our neighbour's house. I am glad it works for you.
