Trouble notes on the trumpet?

    Love Poem to my trumpet and hitting difficult notes:
    Practice, practice, practice, that seems like all I do. The more time that I practice, the more I'm in love with you!

    Beyond the intonation challenges noted in posts before this on, the 2,3 combination (Ab) above the staff is a slotting tease. But practice it, feel the technique, the airflow needed to float just the right amount of air support, and it can be nailed with an highly efficient execution. The next tease is the 1,2 A and C# above staff. I find using valve 3 results in more accuracy.

    Depends on what you mean by "need" for a warm up. Experience should dictate good control coming right out of the gate. But all the experience of years of playing cannot change the simple mechanics of muscle physiology. Warming up muscle will reassure that the muscle will sustain more stress with less risk of fiber damage.
