I am doing a research about the use of electronics by jazz trumpet players.

I'd like to get infos about history, equipments, cds to be heard, musicians etc

    Any help is welcome :)

The one you probably already have is... Miles Davis. I think he used a Martin Comitee, but I am seriously not sure. Basic cds for this are In A Silent Way, Bitches Brew, Live-Evil, and Jack Johnson. usually a waawaa pedal is used. I am really not sure what else. I really want to know about this more, because this is like my obsession.

The Brecker brothers were heavy into electronics!

But long after Don Ellis did some pretty strange stuff with ring modulators and an octave splitter, that may have pre-dated Miles! Check out "Live at Filmore" and Indian Lady from Autumn. Markus Stockhausen is doing some prettier stuff today.

Bill Chase. The song is "Open up Wide."
I think he used electronics on "River."
Buy every CD available that Bill Chase recorded.

Bill Chase. He used a wa-wa on Bochawa also. Played a duet with himself on River with an echo-plex.
