Would there be any negative effects in picking up how to play trombone while still practicing trumpet at the same time? To playing either instrument? I figured I could try something where I switch off everyday trumpet one trombone practice the other?

Would you have any tips for playing trombone? Especially maintaining trumpet while practicing it too?

I typically double on trumpet, trombone, and euphonium. You need to practice all of them though.

The negative comes when you don't have MORE TIME to practice the additional instrument. Dividing currently available time just makes everything mediocre. Finding more time brings an additional musical factor into your life.
