I purchased an olds ambassador trumpet and i'm in the process of cleaning it. Are there any tips i could use when cleaning in tight areas like the valve sections? and can someone put a date on this? the serial number is 296015

A snake and a valve bore brush should be all you need. What spots can't you get to?

The trumpet was made in 1959 - a very good year. You can clean between the casings by using some lacquer polish or just car wax and inserting a cloth through the slot and pulling it back and forth - quite simple.

I always use a Q-tip for the hard to reach places around the valves. Be sure to get all the cleaner back off again with numerous clean, dry Q-tips. Best wishes.

All of the above and it will be spick and span. Congratulations  on a nice horn.
