Just wondering if any one has ever heard of a trumpet duet for taps other than the one where one player finishes playing and is answered by another player?

    It's called "Echo Taps"

It is played two ways, one as a complete echo, the whole song, the other is played in meter with the horns playing at the same time.

Do a Google search and you will find performances of it.

Thank you solar bell, I will definitly check it out. Thought maybe I'd get lucky and find a rendition where the notes intertwined with one another. Not so much the echo rendition.

Here is music for a with two horns playing at once.

It is NOT authorized by the US military.

In the statement it mentions the rhythm, the Marines use the dotted eighth/sixteenth, while the other services do not.

In my recorded repertoire is a multi brass arrangement of TAPS. Should you want to hear it, email me and I'll transmit it in MP3 format.

Send it to me-I'd like to hear it. We are in production for the TAP150 CD which will feature many many versions of Taps.

    Thanks
