We have a try-out day with the band soon and I need some help with cool games or workshops anyone can attend to. It's the purpose to recruit some new trumpet friends at the band. Any ideas?

    1. Single Tongue speed contest... Line up and follow the metronome 2 per beat..
    2. Who can circular breathe..
    3. Pedal Tones - In tune...
    4. Longest note without a breath, and no circular breathing...
(N.B. Number 2 is done first to weed out those, and ban them from Number 4 contest
    5. Chromatic Climb - same as Jon Petter's suggestion, but easier to assess a winner.
    6. Interval Jumps - Check Open Partials...
    7. Double Tongueing speeds...
    8. Pick a tune - Sight Read Competition.
    9. Check the Measures.... 2/4 3/4 6/8 4/4 12/8 5/4 7/8 Check who can conduct...
    10. Simple Tune - then take it into different keys...
