Do any of you know of any really good sites for the history of the trumpet. I have looked on google, but I have not found anything extensive. You don't need to look online for me, I was just wondering if any of you already knew of some.

    Thanks

I think the best sources are not to be found online. There are two excellent books by Don Smithers and Edward Tarr, at least one of which should be in any decent university library. Unfortunately I believe both are out of print. Another good source is Anthony Baines' "Brass Instruments" which is cheap and readily available.

Thank you very much, I'll check into those.
