Hello Franklin D. Thanks for your recommendation of Eclipse Trumpets to renovate my Martin Handcraft. Can you tell my why you recommended them and your personal experience perhaps of their workmanship? Thanks!

Oh no. It's just that I am a little bit in the same position as you, I have a tired Henri Selmer B700 that may need a overhaul in the (near?) feature. There are of course very reputable American restoration guys but then I have to pay a lot of taxes when I will get the horn back from the US. So I made an inventarisation of possible candidates in Europe. Because my horn will need a valve replating I am not sure of the German builders, often they are more rotary specialists and are a little bit indistinct about who made their piston valves.
So I selected Leigh McKinney (Eclipse) as IMO the most suited for the job. Why? I know the Eclipse trumpets and they are crafted VERY WELL!
And I read some very good stories about the jobs done by L. McK. (mostly on Trumpetmaster if I remember well). Sorry, that's all.
