Pinch, Pull, and Pray.....
how about this on the front side of the shirt "we are the trumpets..." and have the names of the trumpet players surrounding it
then on the back have "...you are the rest of the band" and having all the other sections in the band crossed out and surrounding it
"We don't need a clever slogan. We play the trumpet."
I made a shirt when I was a Freshman at band camp in 1979, and then I wore it every Friday (football game days)
Trumpet Players Tongue Faster
It was those fuzzy heat pressed blocky letters and just text. Nothing like the fancy shirts they do now.
The woman at the shirt place almost didn't make it for me because she thought it was vulgar, but I convinced her it was a reference to double tonguing (and demonstrated the da-ga-da-ga sound)... she said OK.
I got seriously razzed by the upper classmen..
I was jokingly told in a conducting class not to look at the brass section because it will only encourage them
Kiss a brass player, feel the difference.
Why bother printing the obvious?
In 10 minutes you will know why I sit on THIS side of the trumpet!
I have a little sticker on the back of my car ..... WARNING: BEWARE OF THE TRUMPET PLAYER ...... I think it says it all.
Trumpet players make the best kissers...
It's all in the chops
