Last evening for the 4th of July celebration in Washington there was a live performance of the Lincoln Suite by John Williams. The trumpet soloist was not announced (typical) but his playing was absolutely excellent. Looked to me like he was playing on a Bach C with a modified lead pipe. Does any one know who was the trumpeter?

He was as well-announced, at the beginning of the program, as John Williams was. It's why I left the program on!

I must have missed the accreditation.

What I noticed most in the performance, after the artistry of the music, was how one tone completed before another. Nice square corners.
