trumpet valves

    True probably for same $ you could have picked up any number of great used cornets. Paid $350 for mine it is used, old real old and the valves are top notch

    A friend has a Formosa manufactured horn -- plays beautifully - except he has complained about the valve action from day 1. Lapped - lapped again - several times to the tech - finally used a lighter synthetic oil - and only applied to dry valves and casings. seems to have worked.

    Lapping the valves too much will cause the horn to leak and will cause the valves to stick on the upstroke.
